The Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central who doubles as the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Joseph Kofi Adda, pledged a contribution of GHS 1,000 to help cover cost of organizing the maiden edition of Navrongo Town Awards (NTA) 2017. The event which took place on the 30 December 2017 in Navrongo received massive patronage due to its human centeredness.
The N-Town Awards is the brainchild of Royal Empire and designed to recognize and award individuals, groups and institutions whose hard work has helped in the development of Navrongo.
The MP who received an honorary award for his contributions towards the development of Navrongo commended the organisers of this novel venture. He then went ahead to further pledged another GHS 5,000 to be invested in an endowment fund which will be used to cater for the event in subsequent years.
NTA is a people’s choice award scheme in Navrongo which seeks to recognize and celebrate the hard work of indigenes.
The event saw many distinguished personalities and institutions walk away with awards. Among the recipients was Dr. Jacob Paarechuga Anankware, a young Ghanaian entomologist who was honored as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Navrongo Senior High School emerged the second cycle institution of the year with Bencyn emerging Best Entrepreneur of the Year.
