Why This Show Matters
This year’s show is billed as the 7th edition of the BakanBork3 Concert, which B-Wayne says has been running since 2017, and the build-up is already under way with warm-up nights tagged #BakanBork3ConcertTheBuildUp. BakanBork3 is also more than a concert title for B-Wayne. It is the banner his music now runs under, and his recent single “Small City” came out through BakanBork3 Music earlier this year. Turning that name into a headline night in his home city, during the Christmas season when many people return North, gives fans a chance to celebrate his journey in person.
The venue has history too. Jocom Golden Hotel hosted one of the first North2South Experience events, which brought artistes from the North and South together in Bolgatanga.
