Kuli-kuli

Kuli-kuli can be eaten as a standalone snack or together with porridge. It is popular in Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, and other African countries.

Benefits of Kuli-kuli.

Health benefits of Kuli-kuli (kulikuli)depend mostly on the peanuts from which it is made. This makes kuli-kuli packed with different vitamins and minerals. Kuli-kuli also contains magnesium, phosphorus and proteins.

Proteins.

Kuli-kuli is rich in proteins. The structure and functions of our bodies depend on proteins. Muscles, skin, bones, and other parts of the human body contain significant amounts of protein, including enzymes, hormones, and antibodies. The human body consists of around 100 trillion cells. Each cell has thousands of different proteins. The main functions of proteins in the body are to build, strengthen and repair or replace things, such as tissue. Proteins can be found in peanuts from which kuli-kuli is made.

Vitamin E.

Vitamin E is fat soluble, which means it is easily absorbed by the body. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can help the body destroy free radicals, which are unstable atoms that may cause the formation of cancer cells. As such, vitamin E could play an important part in preventing cancer. There are also several long-term health issues that can result from vitamin E deficiency, including anemia and heart disease.

Phosphorus.

Phosphorus is a mineral that the body needs to perform a range of essential functions that occurs naturally in many foods including peanuts. Phosphorus is a mineral that the body uses to build bones and teeth and to make proteins that grow and repair cells and tissues. Some of the benefits of phosphorus include keeping the bones and teeth strong as well as managing the body’s energy usage and storage.
