All committee or board members of the much-publicized Hyperlinks Media Awards (HMA) have been asked to resign if they desire a nomination in competitive categories.
This was contained in a press release signed by Arnold Mashud Abukari, Mohammed Shaharan & Bashiru Nuhu Amin (Tyto Qramo);
Ceo, PRO and Chairman of the newly created award scheme respectively.
Per the press release, insiders with such intentions are to tender in their resignations by Friday, July 13 2018. However, being associated with a corporate institution or organization does not call for resignation.
The above decision is believed to serve as a panacea to any conflict of interest that may arise in the execution of assigned roles. It will also eliminate the element of controversies that have bedeviled award schemes in Ghana.
Board members of HMA led by Dr. Bawa Adam Yussif voted unanimously on the decision.
