It’s always refreshing to hear music, which employ puns in a bid to whip up positivity amongst the youth. Shutup Gh, the Vea native from the Upper East Region has released yet another beautiful and rhythmic song titled Kinka mainly to inspire all who desire success.
About Kinka
Kinka is a Gurune word for Stalks gathered from the harvest of millet; it is often fed to donkeys and other mammals. However, in a typical “The lion doesn’t eat vegetable” fashion, Shutup Gh tells the need to keep focus on what is deemed necessary. Secondly, the song asserts that what remains an integral part of your successful being, should not be sacrificed for what is immediately available or what is cheaply achieved. A line in Kinka says “”B’onga ba nyu tea , angub la kinkaa” meaning “A Donkey doesn’t take tea, but rather consumes the stalks from millet”; thus, it will amount to a waste of resources when one forces a donkey to live on Tea.
The rhythmic beat makes Kinka, a song that would fit in a good number of playlists considering the current trend in the Afro-beat world. The infectious song is produced by one of Ghana’s fastest rising producers, Marcel. Kinka features young Captain Wayne who is making major inroads as one a rapper in the Upper East Region.
With a good promotional plan, Kinka will offer Shut-Up Gh a unique opportunity to reach out to a wider audience.

Shutup Gh released a song in September 2017 celebrating his homeland of Vea, titled Vea Dam. The song was produced by BBT’s Azkonna and featured Mr. Kurt of Rockcity.
He later followed up with another beautiful song titled “Zuwaka” produced Marcel. Both songs are a fine indication of Shutup Gh’s quest to make a permanent home out of the Ghana Music Industry.
