Budukusu formerly known as Quata, one of Ghana’s topmost cross-genre virtuoso has once again tendered in some awesome tunes for Grammy consideration. Known to be an artiste who went from vicious rapper, but later went fully versatile by maximising the use of his vocals. This has led him to dropping massive songs in different genre’s, in the process eliciting the urge to remain relevant and competitive by scoring major points.

Songs Submitted by Budukusu

The two songs that have reached the first round of voting are Give Thanks, and Interview with Covid-19. Both songs have received acclamation for the inspiring nature of the former, and the ingenious presentation of the latter.

Give Thanks is entered in five categories.

  • Record of the Year
  • Song of the Year
  • Best New Artiste
  • Best Dance Recording
  • Best Music Video

Give Thanks is an example of his splendid performance as a versatile artiste. Give Thanks is a Reggae song off the Reggae Fest Riddim by DJ Frass. It was (Recorded and Mastered by Amony K Beetti on the Reggae Fest Riddim by Dj Frass. A song being distributed by Tuff Gong International. With an accompanying video shot by 407 studios for Bakus Entertainment. Typical of reggae, the song message-filled and inspiring.  

Interview with Covid-19 on the other hand has entered in two categories.

  • Best Melodic Rap Performance
  • Best Rap song

Interview with Covid-19 is a conversation between Budukusu and the Covid-19 virus. The song tackles and reveals a lot about the novel virus; thus educating the general public on how to stay safe.
